Dr. Coard has experience as a forensic and clinical psychologist for more than 20 years. He has provided expert testimony, evaluation services and consultation throughout the state of Nevada, California, and Arizona and the United States Federal District Courts (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland. Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia) and Military Courts Martials. Dr. Coard has provided forensic evaluation and expert criminal testimony for adults and juveniles. Dr. Coard has provided forensic evaluation and expert civil testimony for family law and he provides evaluation services for parental fitness and child custody.

Dr. Coard holds an Ed.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Missouri St. Louis and Post-Doctoral re-specialization in Clinical Psychology from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. Dr. Coard trained in clinical psychology at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. He has practiced clinical psychology in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, North Carolina, and Virginia, and for the last 5 years in Nevada. His practice venues have included private practice of clinical psychology for 5 years, practice of forensic psychology for 15 years, outpatient community mental health, prison psychology with the Federal Bureau of Prisons including experience as a forensic psychologist for the Federal Sexually Dangerous Person (SDP) program and practiced clinical psychology on Federal Death row.

Dr. Coard served in the U.S. Navy and the United States Public Health Service with one combat tour in Iraq. In addition, he has provided supervision and case consultation to 12 postdoctoral residents. He is licensed to practice in both Nevada and Virginia.

Dr. Coard is married and has a family of 2 adult children and 2 young children. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.
